In 2014, not long before the creation of Team Metal, Thomas Anderson would create a highly advanced artificial intelligence program.
In 2015, this AI program would go rogue, and escape into the internet, where it would be seized by HYDRA scientists and Kurtis Rowan. They would perform various tests and experiements upon it, alongside their work with the SteelWolf suits. This would eventually lead to the creation of Ultron, an artificial lifeform inhabiting a heavily modified SteelWolf suit.
By 2019, this AI was made to inhabit a total of thirteen bodies, forming the Ultron Legion. They would escape from HYDRA, and show up to aid the heroes in the defense of New York City during the attack on it by HYDRA.
